Recently, the CSCE group took a tour of the Biocon pilot facility at TRANSfarm.
This facility focuses on scaling up of developed lab scale processes, a vital link between the lab and process industrialization.
Currently, they are working on the up scaling of lignocellulosic biomass conversion to high-value renewable carbon sources for the chemical industry, a process which was developed by researchers at the CSCE.
Following the tour, a communal BBQ took place to end the night off!
