A successful trip to ExxonMobil European Research & Development Days 2023
In the final week of April, one of our group members, Wouter Arts, attended the ExxonMobil European Research & Development Days 2023 organized by ExxonMobil Europe at their innovation center in Machelen.
This four-day event, which consisted of seminars, lab tours, poster sessions and a plant visit to the Polymer Plant in Meerhout, was closed by a presentation of our group leader Bert Sels on the lignocellulose biorefinery technology.
At the closing event, Wouter was given the “Best Poster Presentation Award” for his work on the lignin-first biorefinery process design, economic analysis and life-cycle assessment.
